Meet Molli

This is Molli the beagle who found us the other day. My husband took Pirogue outside when we got home from work and while they were outside this little beagle showed up. She came from one of our neighbor's direction so my husband thought she belonged to them. He went over there to take her back, but nobody was home. We ended up keeping her inside overnight and the next day while we were at work because she is so small and we were afraid something would happen to her.

When we got home from work, my husband went over to the neighbor's again, only to find out that the little dog followed his son home the other day. They had her collar and the owner's information, but the owner didn't seem concerned about getting her back. My husband called the owner and ended up speaking to his mother because he wasn't there and she pretty much confirmed what the neighbor had said. She also mentioned that the dog cost quite a bit of money. My husband left our phone number and told them where we lived.

We didn't hear anything the next day, but yesterday the owner called. He said that the dog ended up costing over $1000.00, but that they didn't want her and they didn't want anything for her. My husband was a little skeptical about the whole deal so said that he wanted something in writing saying that we can have the dog. He went over to their place and got the full story of why they weren't really concerned with giving a way this very expensive little dog.

She's the sweetest little thing, but she does need training. She has had quite a few accidents in the house, although the past couple of days have been pretty good. She stays in a little crate while we are not here and while we are sleeping. She's a jumpy little thing and is keeping our lab quite busy. It's going to take some getting used to, but I think she is going to be worth it.
